Design Icon on the Move in the Mountains of Grisons
The new Capricorn multiple units of the RhB are honored with the «Red Dot Award: Product Design 2021» in two categories. NOSE has succeeded in giving the Grison character of the train its own distinctive form.

30. Apr. 2021

The design of the Capricorn exudes charm and provides ample comfort during the journey with thoughtful details. In addition to its distinctive exterior design featuring dual-tone paintwork, front cabin with high-set headlights, and prominently illuminated Grisons coat of arms, the interior of the new trains is also awarded the Red Dot Award. Both awards are granted in the category of “Trains and Aircraft.” Markus Bernsteiner, CEO of Stadler Rheintal AG, extends his congratulations: “We are immensely pleased that an international jury has recognized and honored the design quality of the Capricorn. For Stadler, it is an honor to collaborate with our longstanding partners RhB and NOSE in bringing such beautiful trains onto the Grisons rails.”

The design icon is currently operating on the Landquart – Davos – Filisur and Landquart – Klosters – Davos and St. Moritz routes. Thus, one can verify the decision of the Red Dot Jury at any time. The award ceremony itself will take place during the Red Dot Design Week from June 21st to 25th in Essen.
